March Madness Baby!!!!

Are you ready for March Madness? 

This year March comes with many exciting events

that will keep us entertained from the beginning all the

way to the last day of the month!  March is usually the

month that signifies the arrival of Spring when  flowers

start to bloom and hummingbirds are in search of nectar. 

But the arrival of Spring is not the only exciting thing that

occurs in the month of March. 

If you like green and feel lucky, then March 17th

will be an exciting day for you.  St. Patrick's Day 

gives us all the opportunity to celebrate the

Luck of the Irish.  Everyone has a little Irish in them

on St.Patrick's Day and hopes that they might find the

Pot of Gold at the end of the Rainbow

just like the Lucky Leprechaun! 

March is also the month when College basketball fans

watch their favorite teams fight for a chance to go to

the Big Dance known as the "NCAA Basketball Championship Tournament."  64 teams battle on the court in the month

of March to try to be one of the Final Four teams to

hopefully win the Championship. 

The last big event that occurs this year in March is Easter! 

Easter is a Christian festival celebrating the resurrection

of Jesus Christ!  It is a day when family and friends gather

together to remember this wonderful event by giving baskets

of goodies, flowers, and other gifts to those that are

 important to them.  Many people color hard-boiled eggs

and have Easter Egg hunts as part of the fun! 

Peter Cottontail usually hides the eggs with treats

for all to find and enjoy!

This month is sure to provide plenty of fun

 and excitement for everyone to enjoy!

or picked a lucky four leaf clover?

Many people think that luck and good fortune

are only related to wealth. 

 For example when you hit it big on the

slot machine at the casino. 

However, there are many kinds of good luck that happen to us,

each and every day that we may take for granted.  

Things like finally finding that special item

or loved one that you have been searching for; 

Things like our health;

or Things like meeting a new friend online that

 without the internet you would have never known.

Although, Luck is usually thought to be something

that happens without warning, perhaps it could be

that in reality we have created our own good luck

and the timing of the good fortune

appears to be without warning. 

In reality, we are all lucky! 

Lucky to be alive, Lucky to be in love

and lucky to have good family and friends!

A Leprechaun is usually an short old man

with a beard who wears a green coat and hat,

 and likes to dance the Irish Jig. 

They are like a type of fairy from Irish Folklore. 

The irish jig is a form of dance where they hop

on each foot and appear to leap in the air.

an Irish Jig at Latitude 18 on St. Patrick's Day.

 If  a Leprechaun is captured by a human,

 they can use a magical power to exchange three wishes

granted for their release.

Leprechauns make shoes and keep all of their

gold coins in a hidden pot of Gold. 

The legend says that the pot of Gold

 can be found at the end of a rainbow.
